This song didn’t begin as another story from my previous Day of the Dead experiences. It began with what happened after I wrote the others. What I thought was the end of the album became the beginning of one more song. I realized that once I write a song and listen to it repeatedly for a while, the story begins to release from my life. The memory is still there, but the energy surrounding it is different. It no longer feels active or connected to me in the same way. I didn’t think any of these stories were weighing on me. They didn’t feel unfinished, and I wasn’t consciously trying to let them go. I only recognized the weight after it was gone and I felt the unexpected lightness left behind. That became the unexpected gift of writing Follow the Sound . The other songs tell the stories....

Space Dub & Psychedelic Electronica is a seven-track instrumental electronic album.

The Story Behind the Album

I wanted some updated sounds for the chill background music. There just wasn’t any that I enjoyed enough, so I made my own. These tracks were more difficult to create than I had anticipated. I wanted something that was interesting and chill, but without being mind-numbing ambient, cinematic or sleepy.

The Sound Behind the Album

The album brings together space dub, ambient dub and psychedelic electronica. The tracks vary in mood and intensity, with a mix of chill, atmospheric sounds and more psychedelic moments. There’s enough movement to keep it interesting as background music.

Beyond the Veil — A seven-track instrumental world-fusion album inspired by memories of a Moroccan playlist, blending Moroccan music with psychedelic, electronic, baile funk and techno influences.

This Is Quantum — A 32-track instrumental electronic album recreating a musical experience from years ago, blending dubstep, electro-soul, psychedelic electro-funk, bluesy glitch-hop, future funk and classical influences.
